Great experience in listening

I couldn't be happier with these speakers. I haven't purchased stereo equipment since it was called stereo equipment. I had to re-learn the vocabulary as I researched what speakers I needed for the home theater I purchased, Yamaha RX V467. CNET is where I got some decent background and then a positive review. The numbers all sounded good anyway, but once I put it to use here in the 10x12 living room, it showed itself to be more than adequate. We set it up and ran it's diagnostic routine and then played some music, which sounded really good. In time, it's proven to pay good loud - probably too good too loud. But when I was first listening to TV or a movie using the system, I kept hearing sounds out in the yard - I thought. It turned out to be the background sounds that play from the speakers behind me - that for a while kept me turning to the front door, expecting someone to be there. I would recommend these with no hesitation, for the price and usage.

I did a lot of research before purchasing these speakers and was willing to spend up to $500 on a 4.0 to 5.1 system. I love Boston Acoustics speakers and swore I would buy a set. However, the mid sized Boston speakers were all very expensive. I researched other possibilities online and found Fluance. I never heard of this brand and it kind of scared me. I thought they may be like the cheap radio shack speakers you could buy back in the 90's. I was convinced by the many positive reviews and bought the Fluance package. These speakers are amazing. Nice crisp highs and great bass reproduction for the size. I will eventually buy a powered sub so I can lower the strain on the frond drivers, but for now everything is great. I don't think I have heard a better system for less than $1000. I can't imagine finding a better deal for awesome speakers.

Purchased this set after reading all the positive reviews. Friends that have paid two or three times the amount these go for and they could not believe the quality construction and outstanding sound. I am very happy with this purchase and would recommend Fluance speakers to anyone that wants great sound without breaking the bank.

Received the speakers as scheduled. I am very happy with the quality of the speakers. You won't find a better speaker value anywhere. I would recommend buying speaker wire with your purchase. I didn't and couldn't listen to these great speakers until I ran out to the local store. While banana plugs make sense for my particular receiver, I don't really feel they are necessary for the speakers. I am not an audiophile by any stretch. I was just looking for the last set of speakers I would need and I believe I found them.

For the price, these speakers can't be beat. All my friend are jealous and I have all ready recommended them to a few freinds looking to buy. I cant wait till the sub woofers are off of back order.

Spent seven months waiting for item, finally cancelled

The speakers are ordered from an overseas factory, so waits are typically three months. However, I was told three months, and waited six, with no explanation or apology, despite multiple phone calls.Additionally, they won't ship to an address that is not the credit card's billing address. This caused me to miss the first shipment, in January. Of course, the second speakers would have actually arrived in July, so do the math. Finally, I just cancelled.Bottom line, terrible customer service, if you want your speakers in the next half-year, I suggest choosing another company.

Couldn't believe the sound right out of the box. I read in other reviews the speakers needed about 10 hours to break in, maybe but I couldn't tell the difference. I put the speakers through a series of tests, my own. Music was incredible, Supertramp, Telivision movies,OnDemand Fios,new Terminator movie and several DVDs both regular and Blu Ray. I have had many spears systems AR's, Bose, Panisonic, Marantz. I don't believe any other speakers sounded this good. I did buy a seperate Dayton 12" sub to fill in the bass. Now everything is smooth. I recieved the set in 2 days after ordering, of courde I only lve across the border, the speakers were double boxed and everything was in tip top shape when it arrived. by the way I'm running the speakers through a563 Yamaha Receiver.

Unbelievable

All I can say is wow. They arrived in two separate boxes each double boxed with lots of styro inside. Everything about them is high-end...heavy, tight, brass fittings, nice grills, etc. They sound fantastic and made a great 7.1 set up for my new Pioneer system. They're not as pale as they look in the picture and they are WAY better than all the "Home-Theater-in-a-Box" plastic trash that I looked at for more money.

You get what you paid for!

I bought it a couple of months ago after reading all the good reviews. My expectation was probably too high for the price. Just so so sound quality that you can get from auto speakers. Again, not terribly bad considering money, but if you want nice home theater quality, I recommend investing a little bit more and go to other speaker sets.

Fine Center Channel Speaker

I've had this center speaker for about a year now and am very happy with it. I guess it comes with aging and possibly too much cranked Zeppelin in my youth...but I'm having a harder time picking out dialogue sometimes, and the crispness of this center speaker certainly helps.As mentioned in the manual, I did notice a change after the "break-in period," where voices eventually became more normal sounding and not over-crisp and amplified.I'd got online today to look into getting the matching bookshelf speakers too, but at this time Fluance is apparently slammed with orders, backordered and out of stock.I think this attests to a reputation they're getting for quality speakers at reasonable prices.
