Blu-ray and home entertainment 3D - 3D Help Can Blu-ray to succeed?
Estimated sales of Blu-ray Disc players for 2010 will be about 24 million, more than double that of 2009. Many think that this is due to the Home 3D trend. About 10 percent of all Blu-ray players purchased in 2010 will be the stars 3D. Consulting Futuresource sources states this will continue to increase in coming years to 25 percent in 2014, 3D Blu-ray will be in 40 percent of households worldwide. These estimates do not include the most popular 3D Blu-ray, Sony PlayStation 3.
However, 3D is just a fad? Are the rumors about suddenly vanish and therefore see the end of Blu-ray become a standard format? This can always happen when it comes to relatively new technology. And especially if joins the two technologies. Of course 3D has been around for quite some time but has never been available in our homes. So we can not predict how families embrace 3D Home Entertainment.
A recent survey by interpreting, LLC, a company independent research on economic trends of consumers said that 35 percent of consumers will be asked to buy a 3D TV within a year. That percentage is from the first quarter of this year. It also notes that the main drawbacks for the majority of consumers are price and the requirement to use 3D glasses.
While the cost of a TV 3D, 3D Blu-ray DVD and 3D shutter glasses remain high, you should see a significant drop in the near future. Turning even more interest in these products. Prices for a 3D Blu-ray DVD have already fallen by 25 percent since early 2010. And the 3D Home is trying to develop 3DTVs where glasses are not necessary. Of course, you do not have to wear glasses all the time with a 3DTV, only to see 3D content. But at a price of $ 150.00 per couple, it's nice to see companies as Sharp, Toshiba and Microsoft are trying to eliminate from the experience.
While these studies suggest a steady growth over the coming years to the format Blu-ray, which still has to overcome obstacles close to the acceptance of 3D Home Entertainment. Many people already see the demise of Blu-ray discs with the availability transmission line of high definition content. But streaming high-definition content has its own set of obstacles to come, quality issues, lack of sufficient bandwidth and ISPs that have caps monthly usage.
Blu-ray has none of these issues. And by adding 3D to their arsenal, which has provided itself a better chance to achieve greater success. 3D Home Entertainment brings an extra element that has no streaming content. And that is giving the user a theater as experience. Many believe they see a 3D movie is more like watching a movie. And the 3D is more realistic and looks like a dive. To add a new dimension his vision, which opens a completely new medium.
If 3D does not hold in the domestic market for entertainment, not the end of Blu-ray. Remains the best high definition format available. While the Blu-ray DVDs have not seen the success came at the end of 1990. It has built a solid base and has continued to grow each once a year. With the advent of 3D Home Entertainment, the success of Blu-ray may eventually become the disk format to incorporate many predicted.
