This intercom is amazing! I have a child with multiple life-threatening allergies. I need intercom in various areas of the house so that I don't have to follow him wherever he goes. I set my kitchen, office, master bedroom, and master bathroom stations on "listening" mode all the time. So I can stay in those rooms, carry out my usual chore and still be able to hear what he's doing. I can literally hear my child scratching! The sound is that clear. I max'ed out the total number of stations allowed per master and it's still that clear. The system is so versatile. I can turn certain stations off from "monitor" or "intercom" mode, but when I need to, I can still press a whole-house talk button and everyone can hear me. This feature is unique to this product. Other intercoms don't have this feature, so that I can not communicate to those in rooms where the intercom stations are set to the "monitor" mode. Individual stations can set to "privacy", then that intercom/room won't get disturbed. I've done so much research and this is the only system that has the versatility I need. The intercom system is better than the phone network system, in that, you can leave any number of stations on ALL the time. With the phone system, you'd have to "call" a particular phone to talk to that person in the room. Worse yet, you can't leave the phone off the hook ALL the time.

Channel Plus 3015 Video Distribution System Review.

I was a little concerned to read one reviewer had some difficulties when, during a power outage, this required setting the modulator frequency all over again. It has been my experience, even with brief power disconnections and those that lasted a few hours (I pulled the plug!) The original programming remained in memory. Considering the date of the first review it is possible these later models have been improved. When viewing the manufacturers web site [...] under Product Information. One feature is described as: Programming retained in memory during power failures.This device has performed exactly as advertised and allows me to distribute over the air, antenna, broadcasts plus one pre-selected satellite TV program to four different receivers around the house. Technical support has been excellent and have confirmed, while the Model 3015 only provides a fixed gain for the UHF frequencies 14-64 and CATV channels 65-125 (Excluding 95-99). The amplifier will pass all VHF and UHF channel frequencies between 40MHz. and 100MHz.I find the instructions to be relatively straightforward, however be aware of the differences in the newer digital TV frequencies that have been assigned prior to the June 2009 changeover. To find the "Real" and "Virtual" channels assigned in your area. Refer to a TV signal location tool similar to that found at [...] or [...]The Channel Plus 3015 instructions also refers to "Herringbones", "hum bars" or "noise" when attempting to program the "In House" channel. This refers to interference that may be experienced when tuning to an analog channel and not a digitally transmitted signal. In fact, what may have been a perfectly good signal, directly from the antenna, on (for example) digital channel 17.1. This was totally blocked when fed through the modulator.Not being able to immediately identify the factory programmed frequency; I contacted technical support via e-mail giving all the details found to date. Within 24 hours I received a reply that confirmed digital 17.1 was analog 20 and the "In House" channel number had been set to 20. By resetting this to channel 14, channel 17.1 (20) was now received at full strength. There are no local channels broadcasting on or near 14 in this area.While all this may be somewhat confusing, one must basically remember the Channel Plus 3015 can be only programmed with analog channel frequencies. That is those numbers from 2 through 69 that you used to select on your TV before the digital changeover. This may also present some questions when tuning in to your programmed "In House" channel. Depending on the TV model or set manufacturer, some sets may allow a selection of the new channel direct from the keypad of your remote. While on other receivers one may have to go through a Channel rescan to register the new channel. The channel ID should indicate "Analog" or something similar.If you using an older analog TV with a digital converter box, usually set to view on channels 3 or 4, you may have to turn the digital converter off before selecting the newly acquired channel. One of our systems uses this configuration. Although one advantage is being able to display the digital signal strength on a numerical readout. This can be very helpful when adjusting the direction of the antenna or locating an inactive channel during programming your Channel Plus 3015.

I am very disappointed in this product. The directions given to set the modulator frequency were very difficult to understand. Once resolved I felt satisfied that I had now set the frequency and would not have to do it again. To my regret, the first power outage, even though only for a few minutes, required setting the frequency all over again. We get frequent power outages with thunder storms and I am greatly disturbed that I must reset the frequency with every power outage. For my case the problem is "compounded" because the modulator is not easily accessible. If I had known about this deficiency in advance, I would not have purchased it.

Adds intercom function to all standard phones connected to premises wiring - a unique approach to home intercom. Your busy family can keep in touch, even while in different rooms. Excellent for invalids, to signal easily for occasional attention. Use any combination of wired, wireless and speakerphones, matching any décor. Connects to premises telephone line, and separately to telephone company service line. Wall mount power supply, telephone cable and hardware for typical installation included. Intercom paging signal is a distinctive ring, sounded by all telephones. To initiate, lift any phone off hook briefly. After the paging signal is recognized, lift any number of phones to converse between them. Premises phones are temporarily disconnected from the external line during intercom use. However, an outside call's ringing signal can be heard in the earpiece. Discontinue intercom use by hanging up all phones. Outside calls will then ring normally, and can be answered manually. Alternatively, an answering machine on the external line can answer during intercom use. An optional setting enables incoming call hold and transfer via the intercom. Flash once to place the caller on hold and activate the intercom. Hang up to sound the intercom paging signal. Use the intercom to verify the proper recipient.
