(1)  Noise Reduction
Similar with other porous materials, the absorbing factor goes up with the increase of frequency. It has a high absorbing factor at high frequency, The noise- reduction coefficient is between 0.8 and 1 in the noise range of 125 to 40,000HZ, clears out the sound impurity effectively, improves the sound effect and the language clarity. Functional absorbers can greatly improve absorbing capability of the materials. They are widely used in theater, music hall, indoor gymnasium, meeting room, KTV, hotel, home audio-visual room and all the places which has higher requirements of acoutics.
(2)  Fire Resistance
The fire proof capability of decoration materials is the key point which decides the scope of application. Burgeree Sound-absorbing Decoration Board has been inspected for its fire proof parameter by ASTM (ITS), and the result turned out to be of good performance in fire proof, and met the requirement of A grade
(3)Safety
According to testing of LAB, the formaldehyde wasn't released without any toxic volatile substance. On the other hand, the material has great mechanical properties, light weighted, and won’t cause fragments or the danger of falling may caused by the fragments.
(4)Thermel Insulation
Polyester fiber is a kind of fiber which is similar to clothes, it has heat insulation and heat preserving originally. The board is hard and even, flexible, tough, durable, impact resistible, tear resistible, ripping resistible, and wide (1220mm×2440mm) and so on. It’s an ideal material for decoration.
(5)Decoration Effect
Sound-absorbing Decoration Board has more than 20 colors and 10 printings, it is able to make kinds of patterns. It has different types of surface such as flat surface, square surface (Mosaic), wide band and narrow band. The board can be bent into a curve ,which makes interior designing more flexible and varible, also can be made into different shapes of sound-absorbing objects. What Makes A Good Soundproofing Material?

What makes the materials sucessfull in blocking out sound? And what are some good soundproofing materials?

Rockwool (also known as mineral wool) is widely used for sound insulation.

But it depends on what type of sound you're trying to insulate
eg. Contact noise (transmitted through a solid) or airborne noise.

In general, for contact noise, increasing the mass of the solid (eg. wall or floor) will reduce the amount of vibration an hence reduce noise. For airborne noise the material needs to absorb the noise.
