Soundproof Sheetrock

Soundproof Sheetrock

Soundproof Sheetrock

I want to do some soundproofing. Our house is attached on one side and we want to insulate the party wall.?

When we took down the sheetrock we noticed there was another piece of sheetrock up. My hubby cut a hole in the wall to see what was behind the second sheetrock there is wood studs with concrete in between the spaces and then wood going across where the sheetrock is attached to. What is the best possible way to attack the soundproofing? Should we take down all of the sheetrock, fix the broken pieces of wood. Then put up soundproof barrier and then another piece of sheetrock. Can anyone else offer some suggestions.

Hi
By far the best , simplest and cheapest way to resolve your soundproofing issue. just add another layer of Sheetrock to existing wall with a product called Green Glue in between the layer.
