Sound proof materials? Help!?

I am a college student and I have an apartment with a room mate. We wake each other up all the time because one of us stays up late and the other gets up early. My room has 2 openings--one that I use as the doorway to my room, and the other is an large doorway that I blocked off with curtains. I want to get something more solid and sound proof to block this large doorway. Anyone know of any good materials??? Hopefully something not TOO expensive as well. Thank you for your help!!!

Try the isolation foam sheet 8' x 4' x 2" cheap and light weight, Double the thickness can block more sound. It can be installed temporary with tape and easy to cut with a knife.
