Sound Absorbing

Sound absorption and noise reduction coefficient (NRC)

When sound waves travel through the air and finding other means, the wall of a room, for example, part of the sound will be absorbed by the wall while the rest are reflected on the surface of the wall. Add to the mix of the other surfaces reflecting sound waves in various directions within the room, and the result is a mixture of sound reflections that interfere with the clarity of the original sound, intended. The presence of numerous hard, untreated areas is often blame high noise levels at busy restaurants like the voices of multiple customers think and produce background noise. Improved acoustics and sound reduction projects often involve the application of treatments designed to absorb the reflections of sound waves as part of an overall plan to control sound.

Given the tendency of sound waves to reflecting surfaces, it is clear why the absorption of the reflections of sound is an important element of sound control and acoustic improvements. Capturing the reflection sound is particularly important in settings such as auditoriums, restaurants and places of worship, where the quality of the acoustics of experience within the area is essential for their purpose.

The trends reflect the particular surfaces present within a room can contribute to the type and degree of sound absorption treatment necessary to achieve the desired result. Carpet, for instance, is more absorbent than the tile, so a carpeted floor that produce less sound reflection important than a tile floor with other factors constant. How do we know? By undertaking the ASTM C423 test, independent laboratories to quantify the amount of sound from the surface of a particular material absorbs and assigned a value referred to as the noise reduction coefficient (NRC). The NRC calculated based on evidence of a material at various frequencies within a bunker can be interpreted as a percentage of noise that is captured and converted to a surface, while the remaining portion is reflected. A NRC of 0.44, for example, would be assigned to a surface that absorbs on average 44% of sound, while reflecting the remaining 54%.

As the materials used in construction, acoustical insulation products are also the sound absorption test at various frequencies and assigned the rate of reduction of noise. The absorption value exhibited by a particular sound treatment can help determine the circumstances under which treatment should be applied. A project to control the low tones, for example, call for more guidance absorbing the higher frequencies produced by the human voice. Since each solution to improve the acoustics must be adapted to the characteristics of the area in question, the frequency to be controlled, it is best consulting a knowledge soundproofing before the implementation of sound reduction treatments in order to ensure that it addresses the critical variables.

Get Clean Sound by Eleminating Vibrations with High Precision QTC Spikes ViaBlueTM QTC Spikes receive vibrations from vibrating bodies such as speakers (such as diaphragms) and devices (such as transformers) and reduce them. Maximum pressure builds up at connection point between vibrating bodies and their bases, using a high mass concentrated on three minimum points (peaks), The vibrations are eliminated through the extreme pressure points. This leads to vibration absorption.Asorbtion & A Noble Design - Highest Precision/32 PartsThrough the vibration reception disk, vibrations are received on the rotary plate with adjustable height. The vibrations gathered in the main cone are deflected. Excess pressure builds up and is transferred to the especially hardened points. On the equally identically hardened absorption master disk, a maximum pressure point is then created. The vibrations are eliminated.A total of 4 spikes per set are included in the delivery. A spike consists of: a grounding component with attached master disk, steel-hardened peak, main cone, rotary disk of adjustable height with attached vibration reception disk, M6 threaded rod and an M6 drive-in nut. With the M6 to M6 thread stick included, QTC spikes can be tightly connected with speakers or devices. This ensures a steady state and the best possible connection of the absorption reducer to the vibrating. For speaker cases and devices with built-in M8 threads, special M6/M8 thread sticks go from the QTC spikes M6 threads to M8 threads. Optionally M6 to M4, M6 to M8, M6 to M10, M6 to M12 and M6 to 1/4"-20UNC are available.
