How To Soundproof A Wall

Need soundproof .... ASAP!?

Help! Mobile IM on my new apartment, and today my neighboor confronted me and told me that he is a sex therapist? (idk if its right in writing) notice that the wall connects its n my flat is in his room and kids room, said that since I have children who doesn't want to hear anything, because their customers always come over and becomes a little unpleasant. Both entered into an agreement that we would find a way to soundproof walls and therefore pay for it ... How do we do?

Add another layer of plaster from the existing wall ... actually have a dampening effect of sound waves for good luck ..

Sound insulation of a wall apt in New York?

Has anyone did it? How much and how can I do? I know that the price depends on the job, but just to get a ballpark figure. Thx!

I'm intrigued ... its neighbors are very noisy ... or you're tired of noisy neighbors complain? I've heard of people filled with polystyrene walls for noise ... receiving polystyrene trays, shallow food comes in and paste them all over the wall ... I've never tried it myself, but would take a lot of them can not help with cost as I am in Europe, U.S.
