Christmas Gift - HD DVD Player?

I could use some help with that HD DVD player that should get for my boyfriend for Christmas. He has a home theater installed in our apartment Recliners (low noise below), surround sound, projector, etc. I'm not sure the DVD player high definition would be the best considering the fact that he enjoys seeing a lot of movies. Any help would be great, thanks!

The previous replies contain the truth, but no answer to the question actually asked. The Toshiba HD-XA2 is widely recognized as the best commercially available HD DVD at home. You can find plenty of reviews online stating this.
