103º C too hot for AMD Phenom CPU?

I just put together a home theater PC. My system has an AMD Phenom 9850 2.5GHz. I put a decent Thermaltake CPU cooler, but the fan was a few millimeters too thick to fit inside the microATX case, so I removed the fan from the heat sink.

I watched the CPU temperature climb to 103º Celsius, then got worried and shut off the computer. Is this too hot for this CPU? Can I attach a thinner fan that will cool this sucker down?

Shit thats one HOT CPU!

You need more fans
Or a Heatsink FAN
Course you can add fans, Make sure there is circulaion under the Tower, and make sure there is no radiator around it. A mild/Cool enviroment

Also Clean the inside of the case
There could be alot of dust that trapps air making it an insulator. Which is BAD!
